How to root Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 using CF-Root
One of the great things about owning an Android device is the fact that developers can access full accessibility over the device by performing a process called rooting.

How to root Galaxy S3 using Desktop Odin:
Step1: Download Odin3-v1.85 from the provided link. Unzip the file.
Step2: Download CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4 from the provided link. Unzip the file. (should result in a .tar file)
Step3: Make sure your Galaxy S3 is not connected to USB and turn it off.
Step4: Start Odin
Step5: After clicking on the PDA button you should be prompted with a menu where you should select CF-Root-SGS3-v6.4.tar
Step6: Start the phone in Download Mode (Hold down Power+Home+Volume Down and follow the instructions). You may also need to run “adb reboot download”in some cases
Step7: Plug the device to the USB port
Step8: Uncheck Repartition
Step9: Press START. The phone will reboot. The installation should be complete
If your device doesn’t root after following these steps you can repeat the procedure one more time. If it still doesn’t work, there are some things you have to do:
– Uncheck Auto Reboot in Odin, pull of the phone battery and enter recovery mode manually (Hold Power, Volume Up and Home buttons).
