How to use Music Player on Samsung Galaxy S4 - Samsung Update

zUsing the music Player, you will be able to play music files that are stored into your device or memory card. The music player will recognize and play a large variety of file formats: AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, EVRC, FLAC, MIDI, MP3, OGG, QCELP, WAV, and WMA.

How to access the Music player

  • First, you will tap Apps and then Music Player.
  • Now, you device will search for music stored on your Samsung galaxy S4 or memory card.
  • You can choose from two views: Library view and Now playing view.
  • The Library view will allow you to see your Songs, Albums, Playlists, Artists, Music square, Folders and Nearby devices.

How to Play music

All you need to do is to tap on a song found into your Library and the song will be automatically played. The application can be controlled with the buttons found on the top of it.

Into Now playing view, you will find a lot of buttons for Pause, Play, Rewind and more.

The Now playing screen offers a Menu with a lot of Options to choose from: Share music, Add to playlist, Set as, Show/Hide Music view, Scan for nearby devices, Settings, Details and End. Into the Setting you will find: SoundAlive, Adapt Sound, Play speed, Music menu, Music auto off, Lyrics, Smart volume and Voice control. 

How to create a Playlist

  • First, you will tap on Playlist from the Music Player application.
  • Then, you will tap Create playlist.
  • Type the name of your list and then tap OK.
  • Tap Add music and select your files.
  • Tap Done to save it.
  • Tap Back to return to the previous menu.

How to edit a Playlist

  • First, you will tap on Playlist from the Music Player application.
  • Tap the Playlist you want to edit.
  • Tap on Add music if you want to add more songs.
  • Tap Menu and then Remove if you want to delete files.
  • Tap Menu and Edit title if you want to change the name of your playlist.
  • Tap menu and Change order if you want to another order of playing.

Music square

This feature is creating playlist for you. All you need to do is to tap on the grid, and the feature will analyze the tempo of your song and will create a playlist that matches your needs. You can choose from four different tempos: Exciting, Calm, Passionate and Joyful. Keep in mind that you must have a minimum number of 25 songs into your library. If you haven’t, you will need to tap Menu and Library update.
